Why I Love Maui

A Safe Haven

Maui has a unique economy based on Tourism unlike other places that are based on Technology or Industry. Tourism is booming. With all the new affordable direct flights to Maui and the economy improving, Maui continues to be the number one destination Island for many reasons. Here is a place that feels like another country with its warm balmy breezes all year round with lush tropical vegetation yet you’re still in the “good old USA”. The Hawaiian Islands are a “Safe Haven” for you and your family. You can live in a beach town and enjoy surfing, windsurfing, kite boarding, sailing , kayaking, snorkeling, diving and Whale watching or you can live in the countryside and farm or raise cattle.

In my opinion, “The West Side is the best side” and Lahaina is the heartbeat of the Island. There are so many Art Galleries, Restaurants and Resorts to choose from.  Maui is friendly, fun and prosperous. You don’t feel isolated here. We have Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, Walgreens, Longs, Safeway, the Vitamin Shoppe and nice furniture stores. Kahului has Costco,Home Depot, Lowe’s, Macy’s, Sears,Wal-Mart, Kmart, Old Navy, Pier one, Whole Foods and more.

I also love the quiet countryside which is why I purchased land in Kaupo. I love the two extremes. Busy Lahaina, with its awesome beaches , whale watching and great restaurants or the quiet serene beautiful countryside. I feel its the best of both worlds. Kaupo is a bit remote for most people but Kula and nearby Upcountry locations has a great community vibe, shopping and beautiful large lots of land with amazing bicoastal views. Makawao is a quaint upcountry down with a “Paniolo” or Cowboy town vibe with a historical downtown area to browse with great Shops and Restaurants.

Varied Climates and Many Conveniences

Maui has at least 18 micro climates. In the same day you can experience, the cool upcountry, the wet rainforest, the desert like South Shore and the perfect sunny and warm Lahaina. If you love the country or prefer a remote area you can live the equestrian life, be a cattle rancher or a farmer. This is a great time to acquire acreage in beautiful upcountry locations like Kula, Haiku, Kaupo or Hana, If convenience to shopping is important Maui has Home Depot, Lowe’s, Starbuck’s, Jamba Juice, Costco, WalMart and our very own Whole Foods Market! On the West side, we now have Barnes and Noble booksellers with a coffee shop, Outback Steakhouse, OfficeMax, Foodland Farms Gourmet Grocer, Vitamin Shoppe and 3 Starbucks. There are plenty of great Restaurants, Art Galleries and two a good night life.  Come and see for yourself if you haven’t experienced this wonderful piece of paradise.

A Great Place to Invest

There is nowhere else on Earth I’d rather be. Come and see for yourself!
